Sue Walker

Since attending Morley College and learning many new techniques I have explored making textiles in many different forms using both new and existing skills. I love learning new methods and experimenting with colour and texture and enjoy using the process of happy accidents to extend my creativity.

I have continued to extend my understanding of machine knitting and using dyed wool, enjoy making a range of garments and furnishings with the huge range of stitch structures to be created with mostly natural fibres.

I enjoy screen print and creating images which I then use on dyed or painted fabrics.

Working with batik ,indigo dying and recently using natural dyes , I intend to use this knowledge to extend my colour palette inspired by natural influences.
